Whatta Weekend!

Frankie and Don came toward the end of the shower - just for cake, of course!

It's already Wednesday and I think I'm just now recovering from our whirlwind weekend! We were so excited to have NY guests. Sue, Ryan, Elizabeth and Emily arrived Friday evening and stayed through Sunday afternoon. It was such a great time! BONUS: they just happened to be here for my baby shower - which turned out amazing! Afterward we headed to Frankenmuth so Ryan could experience Bronner's and amidst all the chaos, the kids did phenomenally well. We stopped at the toy store and fudge shop as a reward before heading home for the night. Unfortunately, we forgot the camera to capture any images from that night :(

An Interview with my 5 year old

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Since I've been spending much of my free time trying to figure out some budgeting tricks that would allow be to stay at home after Bailey arrives, Frankie has witnessed his mom 'working' on the computer quite a bit. I thought I would include him in the process by asking him some 'budget' questions... If it was all only this easy!

Kim: How old are you?

Frankie: Five

Kim: Do you like money?

Frankie: YES!

Kim: What do you like about money?

Frankie: Buying things.

Kim: How much money do you have?

Frankie: Not a lot. I think I have $17.

Kim: How much money do Mommy and Donnie have?

Frankie: I don't know.

Kim: How much money is in the world

Frankie: $4 billion.

Kim: How do you get money?

Frankie: From working and the bank.

Kim: What is a bank?

Frankie: Where you get money from - I just told you that!

Kim: If you had $100, what would you do with it?

Frankie: Buy toys.

Kim: How much money would you like?

Frankie: $90,000

My Boy Likes to Party All the Time!

just the coolest light saber cakes and smokin' punch you've ever seen...

The birthday party is over - as of 2 1/2 hours ago. I think we can say it was a hit. All the kids seemed to have a blast and will probably sleep really well tonight. We ended up with about 19 kids and they were all EXTREMELY well-behaved. Frankie was very gracious and after a testy start to his morning, I was more than a little relieved that his behavior improved. Check out some of the pics!
